I was happy with my Babyliss dryer, but it broke beyond repair with less than two years of use. I took very good care of it and used about 3 times a week. For the price I paid, I expected to last much longer than $20 dryers.

Very pleased with the new dryer initially lightweight, easy controls, etc. Did perform as promised, leaving hair soft and shiny, without damage. However, after a little more than three months (using dryer 4-5 times/week) the motor is already going starting to get a slow, drudging start with a not-so-faint burning smell. After using Elchim's for years with this same problem, I had hoped Babyliss would be different. Sadly, no.

This is a very powerful hairdryer, yet it is comparatively quiet. Best of all, it leaves my hair, which tends to have the frizzies, smooth and manageable. I usually have to use the highest heat to dry my hair, but this dryer does the job in half the time using a lower heat setting, which is better for the hair.

The Babyliss Pro 5586 Tourmaline 5000 hair dryer is the best dryer I have ever owned. And I have owned several in my lifetime. It dries my hair in half the time and it look shiney and is much softer. It's more expensive than other dryers, but I think you get what you pay for! Highly recommended.
