I have shoulder-lenght, dark, thick, wavy and mostly unruly hair... a LOT of it! I'm not your average "thick hair person" out there. I'm putting emphasis on this because I want desperate women with this type of hair (who cannot afford to go to the salon often enough to keep it looking nice -> my case!) to know that this little tool made a big difference on my hair. I had an old 2" plate clunker that did nothing but damage. When my hairdresser used the titanium BaByliss (regular 1-1/2") on me I couldn't believe the results! I then did a lot of research and gambled on this Mini 1" plates. I considered getting a regular size one but I really wanted something light, easy, that I could carry with me on trips. It's compact but potent and also a lot cheaper. I blow dry my hair straight and the Mini does the rest. Best of all, NO frizz, even here in the Florida humidity! So cool :)

I purchased this product for a trip to scotland. I paid $20 for it and it worked very well for that price. Dont compare it to your expensive flat iron at home and you will be pleased. I have short, chin-length hair, and could get my hair done in 10 ish minutes--managable but not perfect hair in that time. It is dual volatage so you can use it abroad or in the states, i used my converter adaptor set w/ it anyway. It heats up very quickly and is the perfect travel size---can fit in your carryon and not take up much space. There are no heat adjustment settings--hot is what you get, so you may want to make sure you use a protective spray on your hair first.

Overall, very pleased w/ the product and the price.

I was looking for a smaller 1" flat iron and this does the trick. Works great, gets hot enough on the plates, but not the handle. Compact for travel. Only negative that it didn't come in a case.

I have very wavy (sometimes curly) hair. This worked better than a lot of full size flat irons I have tried. It heats up quickly and is easy to us. I bought it for a vacation and now I sometimes carry it in my purse if I think I might want to touch up my hair after work.

I was concerned about the hard wire aspect of this mirror but that turned out easy to install. Just find a place where you can easily fish the electrical connections to an exiting outlet ( I mounted mine eye level directly above a counter level outlet at the bathroom sink). If you have to go thru 2x4's its probably not a good idea to get the hard wire unit. For me the whole installation took about a half an hour and it looks professionally installed with no wires showing. The unit works great and the amount of light and magnification is just right (believe me, your pores don't need to be revealed any more than 3X).

I have Jet black hair and it fit really well no one could tell I was wearing faux bangs till I took them off.

admittedly they are kind of creepy. They make me look considerably younger.

I got it because I hadn't had bangs in a long long time so I tested this out to see how it felt. IT was so annoying having bangs again! but thats bangs in and of themselves not these specifically. The bangs served their purpose and I did not get my hair cut in that style.

It holds up pretty well but then my cat got a hold of it...

These would be great for a costume or playing with a new hair style.

First of all, I recommend this spray(and the rest of John Frieda's products), it works really well and makes my hair feel and look great after a blow dry... Emphasis on blow dry. I purchased this thinking that it was meant to be used before ALL heated hair appliances, but after reading the back of the bottle I learned that was not the case. I used to like this product it was cheap and easy to find. However, every now and again after flat ironing my hair, I'd notice that my hair smelled like it was burnt and sometimes the smell would persist through a wash or two; it became a real issue. It took a few months, but I finally realized that this product doesn't work as well as it says it does (or at least for me it didn't). I stopped using it and switched to a higher quality (and much more expensive) heat protectant from Aveda about 6 months ago and I haven't had the burning smell come back once yet.

After coloring my hair for years, and now blow drying and flat ironing my hair everyday for the last month (after a new haircut,) I noticed my hair was starting to look damaged. This bottle sprays the styling gel with a very fine mist instead of a stream like most of the other styling sprays. This means it is distributed on the hair much more evenly. I have found that I don't need to wash my hair quite as often when using this spray. It keeps my hair looking fresh for at least three days.

I am so happy with this heat spray. The great news is it helps wet my hair a little when it dried too much before blow drying. I love that it did not make my hair feel sticky. I had no notice of it weighing my hair down it was so light and airy. When I finished blow drying my hair felt soft manageable and I love that my hair is protected. When I opened the bottle to smell the fragrance, it smelled rather nice but once I used it and rinsed it out, it smelled like wet cardboard for some strange reason. It also seem there is some conditioner in it too. I like my hair squeaky clean and this shampoo does not provide that. My favorite shampoo has been Selsun Salon but they stopped making it so I have been trying to find something similar and I was hoping this would be it but it is not so the hunt is still on.
