I first bought this brush 20 years ago. Hard to believe it lasted that long but I take good care of my things. It's been used constantly to blow dry my hair straight and brushes thru all knots and does not leave my hair static. My teenage daughter started using it and because of double the use, the bristle part detached from the base which was glued in very securely. I just ordered this new one and have to say I love it just as much as my original one. I was afraid it would've been made cheaper or that the bristles weren't going to be the same. But, I was wrong. It is still quality-made and I am so happy I didn't have to search endlessly and settle for something close to it. This brand makes quality brushes as I have several different sizes. I highly recommend it!

The hair dryer I received is the exact model advertised. However, it is putting out well over the 100mG according to the Trifield Meter 100XE EMF Meter I bough at Amazon.com. It caused the meter to peg, so I can't tell you how strong the EMF's actually are. The meter scale doesn't go that high.
This is contrary to what is advertised: "The ECO8000 emits 4.1 mG of EMF." 100mG of EMF's is what my head would be receiving if I used this dryer. In addition, even 3 feet away from the dryer emits about 38mG. And using the Trifield meter to measure the electric field, there is also an electric field 60-70 volts A/C in the air 3 feet away.
I know the Trifield meter is good because I've tested it. And I'm using the 0-100mG range and reading the top scale for the electromagnetic field measurement. There is no mistake in the reading. The electric field is measured using the Electric range on the top scale. Again, no mistakie in the reading.
I compared it to my other hair dryer, the Conair IonShine 1875 model which puts out 1875 Watts. The readings are virtually identical, again conrtrary to the advertisement:. "The ECO8000 blows clean heat, which is heat without radiation. With 1,100 watts of power, equivalent in heat and blowing power to a standard 1,800 watt blow dryer, you can be health conscious without sacrificing performance. " Not True.
Other than that, the hair dryer works exactly as it should, great heat and air pressure. But I bought this hair dryer because of the advertised low EMF's. My Conair dryer still works perfectly so this costly dryer is being picked up by UPS for a free return and refund.
This review is for you if you are thinking of buying this hair dryer because of the advertised low EMF's, If you cannot measure the dryer, and you are not electrically hypersensitive so cannot feel the EMF's your hair dryer generates, you won't know difference. You may have just spenT a lot more money for dryer that is no different EMF wise than a traditional hair dryer.

I bought the dryer because I wanted something that didn't put out all the radiation. When I first turned it on, it emitted a mild odor and I thought there was something wrong with it. The smell went away almost instantly and I started to blow dry my hair. It's fantastic! It blows well, gets nice and hot and it takes me less time to dry than my Conair...that's for sure! I'm a very satisfied customer.Best Deals on Barbar ECO8000 Blow Dryer
Most people do not realize how much electromagnetic radiation a typical hair-dryer puts out, and to make matters worse, this radiation is usually right next to your head. I don't think many people would stand with their head right next to a microwave oven while it was operating, but the amount of radiation you are exposed to from a typical hair-dryer is quite comparable. When my daughter had enough hair to need to use a hair-dryer I could not in good conscience allow her to be exposed to that much radiation, which is why I went online to see if there were alternatives. This Barbar dryer I bought entirely based upon reviews, and it has definitely lived up to its reputation. I won't repeat all the great things about it other than what I have already written about the aspects of radiation, but it does indeed live up to the hype. It also has a nice, solid build and feels like a good quality piece of machinery.Honest reviews on Barbar ECO8000 Blow Dryer
When it worked, you could feel the cool air mixed in with the hot air, so just the center was warm and surrounded by cold. Then a few days later, lights would come on but no air. Wasn't happy with it at all. Amazon refunded money before we even shipped it back. Thanks.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Barbar ECO8000 Blow Dryer
There's a YouTube video on this dryer that proves it's eco friendly. The heat is great and the air flow is powerful. I'd definitely recommend it.Best Technique 350 Round Brush 1.5" Deals

I have used Technique brushes (sizes 310, 330, 350) for over a dozen years. During this time my hair length has ranged from shoulder-length down to mid-back I have a very slight natural wave (not nice when air-dry) so my hair has some body (not bone straight and not curly). I love these brushes the barrel heats up quickly and give my hair a nice curl while blowing dry. Also provides nice volume at the crown giving body & lift. Using the brush means I don't need the 2nd step of using a curling iron and my hair holds the curl much better because it is curling from damp, versus dry. I also like that it comes with a little pick to pull hair out of the brush to keep it clean. Over the course of time, I have had brushes break (one (of eight?) where the handle & brush connect), and two where the top silver dome has fallen off after dropping (which doesn't affect the use of the brush). But to me that's just wear-and-tear from dropping, pulling the brush thru my hair, tossing them into my gym-bag, etc. I've tried ceramic brushes as a replacement but have not been satisfied and continue to come back to the Technique brand. I recently left my 330 at the gym and it never made it to the Lost & Found so back to purchase another! I've rated it 4-stars for the previously mentioned breakage and that the rubber finger-grips peal over time (the course of a few years). I guess nothing is perfect but this is as close as I've found in a brush.
The 350 staightens and curles my hair, depending what I want to do, with very little effort. Unlike some more expensive brushes, it leaves my fine, curly, and wavy hair smooth with very little frizz. I use it along with an IONIC hair dryer and the combination produces great hair. It is very easy to keep clean and the bristles last forever.
I think you'll enjoy it very much.

My hairdresser recommended I purchase a round brush to use when blow-drying hair. I'm just learning how to use it and was surprised as to how sharp the bristles are. I've used this brand of brushes for years, having bought them from my hair stylist, and especially like the pull-out hair separator on the end of the brush. It makes using a comb while drying your hair unnecessary. The brushes wear well, unless they get crushed in your luggage and the end cap won't stay in place anymore. A lesson learned: don't pack the brush in an outside compartment.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Technique 350 Round Brush 1.5"

I know it is hard to believe, but the unit that just failed, I installed about 40 years ago, controlling originally 10 40 watt incandescent bulb lamp fixtures outdoors. About 10 years ago, I switched over to CFL bulbs, and maybe because of the quantity of bulbs (10), I never had any problem with the bulbs burning out prematurely or blinking, etc. Or maybe the actual switch device in this unit is not solid state, but a mechanical contact set. In any case, I hope these last. The original never really FAILED, it just requires more daylight now than it used to and the outdoor lights were on for too many hours during the day.
I installed it yesterday, 8/18/13, and it works just fine. The original unit I removed, had a date stamp on it of 12/74! If this unit lasts 10 years, I will be ecstatic. Who knows?

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I sooo wanted to like this styling tool from Remington. I love my other three styling tools from Remington-two straighteners & a curling wand. This one was a let down, however! It's a nice idea, but the product just wasn't designed well like other Remington products I own.
First, I'll tell you the good: it's got a swivel cord. A must for styling tools. It also heats up quickly. It automatically shuts off after an hour-nice safety feature. It also has a lock to lock the panels together. I love that about my Remington straighteners. It straightens hair ok, but gets irritating with the plastic bumpy edge catching my hair from time to time.
The bad: Warning-The outside of the styling tool that is red gets hot! Be careful & don't burn yourself. I disliked this, but I'm guessing it's made this way to help when you're trying to make curls, which makes sense, I just don't like it. Hair does get caught in the plastic extension from time to time-ouch! I really, really disliked that the on/off switch and temperature dial were located inside the styling tool, right below the ceramic plates. It wasn't hot down there, just awkward!
The ugly: It just didn't make the curls you see on the model. The curls just weren't very good. I fiddled with the temperature & my technique & it just wasn't making pretty hair. My regular 1" Remington straightener makes better curls than this.
At the current price, you're better off spending your money on something else.
Today I set aside time made to attempt to straighten my own hair for the first time in eight years with the Remington S6600 Styler. I was very impressed as it heats up very quickly (seconds); it's about the tenth of the weight of my old straighteners; and, as such, very easy to use. I didn't blow dry my hair first, leaving it towel-dried and infused with a straightening product, relying instead on the Remington S6600 Styler. After just 40 minutes, which is the shortest time ever I've spent straightening my hair, I had achieved a smooth, sleek look that I would not otherwise achieve without spending an hour in the hairdressers. Yes, that's right: my hair is that thick it takes a hairdresser (sometimes two) about an hour to style my hair straight. It's been raining on and off today, and I had to go out after I'd finished, but my hair remained straight and sleek despite walking through some drizzle.
During the process of styling, I also adjusted the comb, after turning it off, and it's true, you can get a soft curl if you desire. I opted to test a small section with the first setting, creating a long, straight look with a slight curl under at the end and, with just a few attempts to gauge timing and turning the Remington S6600 Styler produced exactly the look I wanted. I have yet to test the other two comb extension settings, but I expect the Remington S6600 Styler will do the job.
I like that the Remington S6600 Styler is pretty, with hot pink accents yet still delivers. They are very light, but substantial and easily tame strong, thick, curly hair with its own mind. It's easy to handle, the on/off switch is hidden away, so you can't accidentally turn them on, and a blue light flashes as it heats to the desired temperature, then the light remains steady until you turn the Remington S6600 Styler off, a good reminder mechanism. The Remington S6600 Styler comes with a handy storage bag, too, to keep it dust free.
There is a dial to select heat (much like you find on an iron), also hidden on the inside of the tongs, so you can't accidentally turn it while styling; however it's hard to determine which setting you have selected as there is no mark with which to line up. I wasn't impressed with the lock that keeps the tongs closed as it slips somewhat (well, it did for me) and I had to watch the tongs so they didn't open when stored. Also, the outside heated up meaning I didn't feel comfortable putting them down, as I used both hands to re-section my hair, opting instead to keep them balanced between my legs while seated.
I'm very glad I received the Remington S6600 styler and will be using it again, and again, being confident I can produce different styles quickly and effectively.
Since there are three different settings for curls on this, I opted for the tighter curls, since my hair is only shoulder length and I figured it would be easier to get the hair around the curler. I think I managed a few ok looking curls despite the fact that the shape of this curler made it hard to use without burning yourself on the ceramic heaters that cover it. There isn't a whole lot of room for your hand on the handle to maneuver the curler around, even with the swivel cord. I also disliked that the heat and on/off button were located inside the curler, they were awkward to reach and use.
Since I failed miserably at the curler sections, with what little bit of curls I did manage I decided to use the straightener on so I wouldn't have to go to work looking like a mess that day. The good news is that it worked. The bad news is that my hair felt so dry and brittle afterward that I was a bit frightened that I had ruined it. I had it set at the lowest setting and it was still extremely hot. The hot setting is outrageous and I can't really imagine anyone using it without burning their hair to a crisp.
I'm not saying this can't be a good curler, but I think you'd have to be a real expert to get it to do what you want. Those of us who are beginners or don't use a styling tool very often are going to be severely lost when it comes to this product. And frankly its just not worth the damage the high heat does to the hair. I really don't envision myself curling my hair very much with this as the tool to use.
Review by M. Reynard 2012
Curling, on the other hand, is another story. You can't change the settings without burnt fingers. The curling process itself is awkward and very hard to get the desired result on a regular basis. I have made some beautiful curls with this tool... but by doing the exact same thing again I have come out with some pretty mangled looking ones as well.
It's easy to use, heats up quickly, isn't inordinately heavy, and fits well in my hands, which limits the arm and hand strain of working through the amount of hair on my head. I enjoy it slightly more when I use it for the loose curl than the tighter curls I tried one night, but admittedly, the hair product I'd borrowed from a friend didn't work all that well and probably contributed to the lack of hold. My favorite feature, though, is the straightener. I don't use it often, but for someone who has fought frizz for many years in this subtropical climate, it's both novel and nice to see that sleek straightness I got with this one. It IS Florida, though, and my hair IS naturally curly, so I can't say that it stays perfect for long without the judicious use of hair spray, but I enjoy it while it lasts.
I'd more strongly recommend this product for someone who isn't planning on using it every day, though. Maybe it's my hair, or I'm using it wrong, but it takes me awhile to work through my whole head of hair, and going through that every day would be extremely time consuming. For one to three times a week, though, it's perfect, and it's nice to have one single curler/straightener in the drawer next to my hair dryer instead of three.

I have owned a pair of hair straighteners for years, but only used them a handful of times because they were heavy, very bulky and didn't really do the job. I have very curly, thick hair and it was time-consuming and cumbersome to use my old straighteners and it never looked as good as when the hairdresser used hers. Recently, I have become bored with always having my hair curly or upstyled, so I had started to look at getting a more up-to-date pair of straighteners, knowing that technology had moved on since I bought mine and performance generally improved. Luckily for me, I had the chance to test the Remington S6600 Stylist Multi Style Styler. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was so excited to try this curler out. I thought, "finally, one that looks like it might be easy to use." Sadly I was wrong. Now admittedly I'm kind of a beginner when it comes to using hair curlers and straighteners. So after failing miserably several times to use this product on my own I took it to the expert, my grandma. Who proceeded to try to use it on my hair and fail too. And I should note that I tried using their instructions, tried doing my own thing, and tried yelling at the curler, nothing seemed to help.Since there are three different settings for curls on this, I opted for the tighter curls, since my hair is only shoulder length and I figured it would be easier to get the hair around the curler. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program It's not often that I style my hair. I have long, thick, wavy hair (the shorter it is, the curlier) that tends to frizz in the humid south Florida weather, so I admit, it's easier to just pull it back and slick it down than it is to style it day-to-day. There are times, though, that I have to make the effort, whether for work or play, and this Remington Styling tool has been a real gem for me.It's easy to use, heats up quickly, isn't inordinately heavy, and fits well in my hands, which limits the arm and hand strain of working through the amount of hair on my head. My hair is curly and about 16 inches long and dry my hair straight with this in about 20 minutes. It's strong and gets REALLY hot. My hair hasn't suffered any damage. I use it with the concentrator that came with it and it's nice that it doesn't fall off easily like often happens with other dryers. The back cover for the air intake is removable which makes cleaning the lint build-up easy. I use cold air to set when I'm done and often dryers take a while to cool off, but this one cools down quickly. Every minute counts as I have a lot of little ones to take care of.
On a side note, in a moment of desperation, I used it to dry the microfiber insert for my daughter's cloth diaper (which would have taken forever in the clothes dryer). In about 5 minutes, it was done. Probably not a recommended use for it, but it saved me that day :)
Bought about 5 years ago and still going strong. Highly recommend!

I've had mine for about a month now and so far it works great! I've gone through 3 of the tabletop and soft-bonnet models within less than a year. At $40+ each, I wish I would have just purchased this one to start with and saved my money and the aggrevation. I'm not 100% convinced of the whole *ionic* craze, but I will say my hair is soft and shiny right out of the dryer without the standard leave-in sprays I would normally add. My hair is long, course and relaxed but still delicate enough it is easily burnt and over-processed. This dryer has me done in 50-60 min tops, curls are set and last for days and I can FINALLY sit comfortably in my reading chair instead of propped up at unnatural angles on the floor/kitchen chairs trying to use the other models!! (My aging back appreciates this let me tell you!) My only complaint is that it is bigger than I expected. The hood has to be large enough to accomodate rollers (which it is), but the base (while it makes the dryer very stable) is too large to fit into my closet. I was hoping to roll the dryer into my closet when not in use but so far it's been sitting in the open behind my chair. This is not my preference and I'm working on other possible storage options, but I'd still recommend this dryer and would easily purchase it again and again.
I have shoulder length hair and use 1 and 1/2 inch rollers for rollersets and it is a tight fit, can't imagine getting larger rollers under the hood.
The major negative is the timer, setting the timer powers the dryer on so you can't avoid use of the timer. It is extremely loud, think continuous "ticking time bomb" sound. The only thing louder than the timer is the bell that goes off when your time is up. The first time the bell went off, I was under the dryer and just about jumped out of my skin it scared me so badly. I avoid having the bell go off while I'm under the dryer by setting the timer to 60 minutes (max allowed) and then setting my laptop alarm to go off at 50 minutes so I can turn the timer back to 60 minutes if I need more time or I can get out from under the dryer before the bell goes off.
In summary, I don't hate it but would not have bought it if I had read the prior review about the timer. Would not recommend if you can find similar dryer without the timer and bell.
UPDATE Nov 2009: After six weeks of use the visor broke. The dryer was gently used (20 minutes for deep conditioner mid-week and drying rollerset on Sundays). Can't recommend.

I'm moving to place where there aren't many african-american salons and stylist, so i figured i'll be doing my own hair quite a bit. so i decided to purchase this dryer and I love it. My hair gets dry in 30 minutes on high and 45 minutes on low. I absolutly love it! I sent my blow dryer packing after using this the first time. what i love the most is that it has two fan speed settings, high and low and you can adjust the heat setting to whatever is comfortable for you because it does get as hot as the dryers in salons. the height is adjustable, and the hood is large enough to fit even your larges rollers comfortably. it comes in three peaces and very easy to assamble. I didn't even look at the directions when i assembled mine and best of all, it's QUIET.Best Deals on Pebco I0NIC Salon Hood Hair Dryer with Wheels 2000 Watts
I have to edit my first review on this product! Sorry to say DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HAIR DRYIER! It stopped working and I only had it for four months before it burned out! Then to try and return it to Beauty Genesis was a pure JOKE! I hate this dryer waste of money! Warning: DO NOT BUY THIS HAIR DRYER! Plus the manufacturer that makes this dryer, I found out later had a recall as this model has defects as they had a recall on over 20,000 hair dryers back in 2000! Oh and I must not forget to mention Beauty Genesis (amazon dealer that I made the purchase with) had the nerve to tell me "just becasue it says professional/salon hair dryer doesn't mean any thing, they are not made to last"!Honest reviews on Pebco I0NIC Salon Hood Hair Dryer with Wheels 2000 Watts
I purchased this dryer based on the great reviews I've read and I have an ionic hand dryer that works well, so I figured the hood dryer would be just as good. Not so! If you are a Black person, this dryer doesn't leave your hair as shiny as the regular dryer and if you put rollers in tightly to straighten new growth, it does nothing. It definitely dries faster, but the way the dryer is assembled, you cannot adjust the hood so you are sitting with your head back and it can be a strain on the neck. Also, this dryer makes a ticking sound and when the timer finished the ticking continued for a minute even after I unplugged it. It is definitely quieter than most dryers outside of the ticking.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Pebco I0NIC Salon Hood Hair Dryer with Wheels 2000 Watts
I have had this dryer for a month and am pleased overall. Ionic power seems to cut drying time with even heat distribution, cut from 90 minutes to 60. My hair is shiny with great body, similar to when I would use tabletop hood dryer. I can't say I noticed any improvement (thus far) in condition of hair with the Ionic power feature. The fan and motor are unbelievably quiet.I have shoulder length hair and use 1 and 1/2 inch rollers for rollersets and it is a tight fit, can't imagine getting larger rollers under the hood.

I previously purchased a flat iron that was over $100. It was awful from the point of view that I burned my forehead, burned my neck, ended up unplugging it and throwing it in a drawer, then gave it way. I found it clumbsy, hard to handle, way, way, way too hot to be safe.
Then I saw this little one at Target. It looked like the ideal thing, very tiny and easy to managed. With hesitation I did buy it. I have to say, it is wonderful; so easy to use for bangs and small sections of hair.
The reason I needed a flat iron was because I ether use large hot rollers or a large curling iron and the curl would be too large for my bangs. This works perfect. It's the first time I use a flat iron. So, I don't have previous experience with other flat irons. But it's so easy to use, great for travels, and my hair looks wonderful!

This stuff smells like heaven and it's making my new growth thicker than a forest, BUT if you plan on doing your hair fancy, I wouldn't use it. I use this when I want to wash my hair and wear a tam or a bun that week, because it makes your hair oily and heavy.

Honestly too greasy for me and too heavy. I put it on wet, or dry hair, and it is a problem. Just feels greasy and like a bunch of buildup...I have like 4c hair (the tough stuff lol) and this makes it so much worse. But maybe it would do wonders for someone else. I expected it to be like a light moisturizer but it just makes hair stiff and greasy.Best Deals on Doo Gro Triple Strength Anti Breakage Growth Lotion, 12 Ounce

I haven't bought a new hair dryer in 20 years. I blow dry so infrequently that my old windmere still works. But I figured it was time to get a better, safer dryer.
I chose this dryer based on the price and reviews. Modern dryers are all much bigger and heavier than the old ones which is kind of annoying. If any part of this dryer overhangs the edge of the counter, the whole thing starts to slide off.
The dryer itself works well, my hair is quite thick and I thought it worked very quickly to get my hair to an almost dry state. (I never blow all the way dry to keep the hair healthier.) I also like the cool air option. The cord is definitely long enough for use when you're at the bathroom counter. It's great to have it so neatly tuck away inside the dryer.
My only caution is retracting the cord. It snaps back pretty fast which cause the plug end with it's safety block to whish around. It banged into the cabinets and almost knocked something off the counter as it flipped around. I would suggest holding the plug end as you retract the cord so you don't hurt someone.
One of my favorite features of this model, the built-in cord retractor, seems to be getting negative comments from other reviewers here on Amazon. Common sense tells me that I should hold onto the heavy power adapter with one hand while holding in the cord release buttong with the other. You easily control the retraction speed this way, which prevents the end from whipping around as most people are complaining about. It's really not a big deal and doesn't take much effort on the user's part.
I do wish that this dryer had three air speed settings, since high is sometimes too harsh, and the low setting is usually too soft. Overall, for less than $20.00 this is a real bargain of a hair dryer and I couldn't be much happier with my purchase. Thanks for the great deal Amazon! =o)
Con's: the handle can't fold! I am so used to the folding handle of my mom's hair dryer. So I must always keep this in its big box (considerably big compared to other folding handle hair dryers).
Overall, I love this hair dryer.
--UPDATE---
After 5 years, the dryer stops working. No damage/dropping occurred. It just doesn't start anymore. =(
CAUTION: Be careful when pushing the cord retraction button as it will fly wildly about causing a risk of getting socked in the face with the oversized safey plug.

You can't get much for $20 these days. However, an Andrew Jackson will get you the Conair 209R Ion Shine 1875 watt hair dryer from Amazon.com, and your even have some change left over! This dryer produces an impressive jet stream of air, with a selection of 3 heat settings. The technical specifications boast "Clouds of negatively-charged ions neutralize positive charges that are in the air and reduce the static electricity that causes fly-away frizzies and dulls hair." Well, I don't know what all of that means but I will admit that my hair is not frizzy after using this dryer. There is also a cold-shot button, which quickly removes heat from the air output, which is a great feature. The dryer has a little weight to it, but it is not bulky and seems to be balanced quite well. All hair dryers are fairly noisey but this Conair 209R Ion Shine is quieter than most of my previous dryers. One of my favorite features of this model, the built-in cord retractor, seems to be getting negative comments from other reviewers here on Amazon. I very much like the way my hair comes out with this hairdryer. Less frizz and dries quickly. The only thing I don't like is the heaviness of the dryer. It is three times heavier than my last hair dryer and after a while my arm gets tired. If light weight is important to you, don't buy this one. Also, I thought the price was pretty good, but I have actually seen similar dryers cheaper at Costco.Honest reviews on Conair Ionic Ceramic Cord Keeper 1875 Watt Model 209R
Pro's: The color looks nice on it and it's very professional. There are 3 level intensity of wind for both hot and cool blow, which won't overdry my medium long hairs. It also comes with a diffuser and a concentrator( but I don't have the need to try them yet).Con's: the handle can't fold! I am so used to the folding handle of my mom's hair dryer. I would have given this a better rating, because the dryer performs just fine. I especially like the variable speeds and heat settings.CAUTION: Be careful when pushing the cord retraction button as it will fly wildly about causing a risk of getting socked in the face with the oversized safey plug.

This is my second solano. This one doesn't seem to have the HEAT my previous one had. The control switches are in direct line of achieving a firm grip on the rather heavy appliance, therefore, I tend to change settings by mistake. I wouldn't buy this one again, Sorry.

I now know why a cheap flat iron does nothing and a good one makes all the difference. Just got this one because the hair dryer was so good that I decided to get a better flat iron as well. Works great. No frizzies; smooth hair with great shine. My hair is thick and this flat iron handles very well. I am impressed with this brand.
Seems a little slow to heat up, 2-3 minutes or so. But, heats up pretty well. I've used it maybe once a week with no problems. One thing I would advise is to follow the instructions. Like, this is not a wet to dry straightener.
Also, it's no Sedu or CHI. But, I straighten my hair once in awhile, so no big deal. If you want to lengthen the life of your hair while straightening, be sure to use some thermal protection!

So far I like this flat iron. It does it's job well. It heats up quickly and stays hot. I have a lot of naturally wavy/curly hair and keep it set at just under heat level 15. However, I'm disappointed at the lack of auto shut off feature. Especially since twice I have left it on for over 24 hours. I had previously owned an Andis flat iron from Walmart that I was just as satisfied with. My previous iron was 1/2 the price at $15 and it did have auto shut-off as well as a locking feature. Unfortunately that iron wasn't avail. For the purpose of straightening/flatting my hair...it does work well!Best Deals on Elevate by Andis Professional Tourmaline Professional Nano-Ceramic
My stylist used the same iron on my hair and it worked well, so I got one and love it! I have stick straight, very thin hair that I wear in a short bob. It works wonderfully! I can give it just a little curl on the end and go! I bought one for my travel bag and one to keep at our cabin....low price for a great product!!!Honest reviews on Elevate by Andis Professional Tourmaline Professional Nano-Ceramic
I bought this product a year from now discounted, which was less than $35. I think it's pretty basic for my needs. I have dry straight hair. I usually only use the lowest setting, which is still pretty hot. I haven't tried the highest settings as my hair is pretty easy to straighten.Seems a little slow to heat up, 2-3 minutes or so.
