The mirror is a nice size and is moderately attractive, but if you are looking for a bright light surrounding the mirror, this is not it.

Very stylish and attractive, but the lighting is not very bright. This would be an issue for anyone without an additional lighting source to compensate.

This is a beautful vanity mirror. Like other reviewers have said it is a bit dim. However I can do just fine with it when I have the overhead light on.

I spent a long time looking to replace my 15 year mirror after it finally failed. This mirror is great, and the long oval build allows you to view your entire face while applying makeup. One of the things I had a hard time finding was a mirror that was not so strong-so closeup, that the magnified side was too hard to use for makeup application. The lighting in the mirror is not as bright as some might want, but for me it is slightly soft and perfect. I use it on my dressing table, and only occasionally turn on the other light that is close by. This mirror is exactly what I was looking for.
