I like the blowdryer. It was nice and hot. My golden retriever loved it and it dried his hair fast. Big disappointment about the included "hands free stand" though. I had imagined they'd including something telescoping and adjustable, a folded up stand that would pull out to full size -which I am defining as high enough to dry a big dog like a golden. That's why I chose this particular product, because I want a tall stand and a good blower. The stand Oster includes is just a little chunk of plastic. You could use it to station the blower on a table, or perhaps on the floor. Anyway, it's not going to be of much help. I gave the product four stars because I like the powerful blowdryer.

I found this exact blow dryer at my local Walmart for a little under $13. It's a great dryer and I love the hands free option which is why I rated the item itself a 5 star but I wouldn't pay a higher price when I got the same item for less.

I got this dryer because I have a long-haired dog that needs frequent grooming, and I liked that other reviewers said it wasn't excessively noisy. That is true. Although it isn't silent, it is a lot quieter than my wife's hair dryer, and so I doesn't drive my dog crazy. So I like that. I like the 3 temperatures that is has: cold, warm and hot. The hot is hot but not burning, the warm is pleasant, and the cold is... well, just cold air. I also like it's compact size.

So what don't I like? If anything, and I mean anything, gets close to the unit it gets starved for air and starts to struggle. Not great. The so-called hands-free cradle hardly does anything because it only works in one position. I've tried using this with an adjustable pole and clip to make it hands-free, but it doesn't fit well in the clip.

So as I said, very good, but not great.

Only two speeds and neither seem to be the right one. The low fan is too low but the high one is too loud and hot for my tiny girls. Went back to my own hair dryer hoping I don't burn it out. Also, the stand is not usable in my opinion which is the major reason I bought it. Don't waste your money.

I recently purchased two of these dryers, one for me and one for a co-worker. This is a great alternative if a dog is too sensitive to a velocity dryer. It is also great for drying faces. The air gets hot enough so you have to keep the dryer moving but it works and is very quiet.
