Ive suffered from mold allergy for so long, but larger noisy dehumidifiers were not an option for me. specially having to empty out a water tray daily. And then..as if by miracle i came across this great product. I didnt even read reviews on it and took my chance.I was desparate, the price wasnt bad and the system to kill molds seemed to make sense to me...well i wasnt dissapointed one bit!!! I plugged it in and that was it, next morning i could smell and feel the difference in my walk-in closet. No more mold growing on my dark colored clothes and shoes. In fact i suffer no more allergies in my home either wich was a huge relief cause i was taking allergy medecin daily!!! I plan on buying another one to put in my room that is how satisfied i am with it. Its a bit big (approx size of a medium pizza)if you are tight for space, but they also make a smaller version.

The Air-Dryr 1000 is fairly big, produces heat, and intended for small areas. Based on two hygrometers I have, it only covers a small area, mostly above the unit. It does not significantly reduce the humidity in a small bedroom, but perhaps keeps it in a steady level. The heat it produces will also heat up a room by 5-10 degrees F, which is great for cold winters, yet terrible for the hot summer. It may have help reduce the growth of mold and mildew, but does not entirely "zap" it as it claims. The positive thing is that is very quiet and does not have any moving parts that need frequent cleaning.

We bought a new home with a 8 x 12 ft. storage room in the basement. After two years of putting up with things getting musty and moldy, I bought this simple device and haven't had a problem since. I can comfortably store anything in there and not be concerned. I can't tell you enough how pleased I have been with this device. It's been three years and it still works perfectly. It is definitely worth the money.

This product is so amazing, I am aout to purchase 3 more 1 for our garage and 2 for our basement! I placed the Air-Dryr 1000 in our mud-room, which is an unheated room, that was built in to some of our garage. Thus, it is a cold, somewhat damp area. Not only did the Air-Dryr 1000 eliminate our need to pipe heat in to the mud-room but it also solved any potential hygiene problems for my son's hockey equipment. He skates 6 days a week. Each day after practice and games, we lay his equipment out all around the Air-Dryr and it sucks the moisture out within hours. No worries about staph infections, mold and mildew growth and no smelly equipment! This is huge for an germ phob, like myself. A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE WITH AN ATHLETE WHO WEARS EQUIPMENT and for all damp areas in your home, especially the basement, whether finished or unfinished. It really completely dries the air and for nearly $70 it's a no brainer!

This is the second unit I have bought. It works efficiently and puts out just a slight amount of heat to keep the humidity level low. I have one in my truck camper and one in an unisulated storage room. No problems, works as advertised.
