I hate the loud noise of a hair dryer, so I searched the internet for hair dryers that were QUIET. This is one of the few models that was specifically advertised as having a QUIET AC MOTOR, so I bought it. I am really disappointed, because it is actually the NOISIEST hair dryer I have owned, far noisier than the cheaper CONAIR dryer I was replacing. So, if you are looking for a QUIET dryer, don't be misled by the manufacturer's description into thinking this is it!

My very big dog and I both love this dryer. I bought my first one from an pet grooming catalog, so I think it was designed for dog grooming. But, I like it so much that it ended up in my drawer in the bathroom. It is by far the most powerful drier I have ever used. I have used it hard for over two years and it's time for another. Other dryers just seem wimpy by comparison.

Pros:

It has separate heat and blowing controls, which makes it possible to blow high powered warm air (which my dog prefers) and low powered hot air (which I like for my hair.)

The light is awesome when I dry my dog's furnishings (legs and underbelly). I can actually see what I am doing!

Has a "cool shot" button to set the style.

Its high power gets drying jobs done fast.

Cons:

It is a bit loud. But, my dog, who is a total chicken when it comes to sound, loves getting dry and toasty warm. When he's wet he will actually seek out the bathroom drawer holding the dryer. I just had to take it slow and present plenty of treats when getting him used to it.

A friend borrowed it and said that even on the low setting she thought it blew too hard for her to style her hair.

The hair dryer has good air flow and will dry your hair quickly. It is very noisy though. I don't like the on/off switch. It is off in the middle with it flipping one direction to go to low and the other to turn on high. Then when you go to turn it off, most of the time it flips past where the middle is and you end up turning it back on to the other speed.
