I have long thick brown hair that has a little wave and some frizz. It normally takes a long time to dry with the dryer, so most times I do not bother. I just let it air dry. Until one day I was getting ready to go to a wedding and decided I wanted to blow dry my hair when I discovered that my blow dryer of 10 years died. So my hair air dried that day. The next day I sent my hairdresser a message and asked what he uses in the salon. He told me that he uses this model. After researching some other brands, I decided to go with his suggestion because my hair always comes out smooth, shiny and best of all, no frizz! It is a bit pricey but well worth the money! I used it for the first time yesterday and it only took ten minutes. It was so smooth and shiny and looked almost like when I come home from the salon!!!

I bought this dryer about a month ago. It replaced my second defunct Chi ceramic dryer. I loved the original Chi that I had, and the replacement worked on my hair as well but was not as well-made, so may have soured my Chi-love. At any rate, I think I may prefer this one. It does trip the GFR switch everytime I turn it on, but that is no big deal. I just hit the button on the plug. It is a tiny bit heavier than the Chi, but it only takes about 5-7 min to dry and style my hair, so the weight has not bothered me. As long as there are no malfunctions in the near future, I am happy!
