I love this brush. My hair is medium thick texture and very long right above my buttocks. My hair takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to blow dry and flat iron with my old blow dryer and round brush. What's so amazing about this brush is the ceramic white part works as a flat iron. It took me literally 30 minutes to dry my hair. In addition, I used a very good blow dryer the Rusk Speed Freak Professional Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Dryer 2000 watts. The large brush 3-3/4 grabbed large amounts of hair and was still able to glide smoothly and dry quickly. Results were no frizz, no dry desert look, it was very shiny, healthy looking and stayed straight all day even in the high humidity. Do I recommend this brush absolutely. If you decide to purchase the brush and the blow dryer remember to add enough thermal heat protection to your hair and moroccan oil (this is good to practice all the time regardless of any type of hair dryer).

Ten years ago (2003), my stylist used this amazing very large brush (3 3/4") to smooth & straighten my thick & very wavy hair. I have struggled to achieve that smooth, shiny, straight (but not the limp "flat-head") look which you only get from a salon. I have bought and used so many other hairbrushes and tried to get that "Fresh out of the Salon Look"...but not achieving it. My stylist showed me how to blow dry my hair (in small section) with this brush. When blow drying, the hairbrush barrel stays hot and the bristles "grips" your hair giving you the needed tension to smooth/straighten "difficult/unruly/wavy/thick" hair...like mine.
My stylist ordered two for me and have I achieved the same results myself at home. My original hairbrush(es) lasted for 3+ years (each). I was pleased to find on Amazon (through HairArt) was selling the same brush! I definitely stocked-up on these!
