These are 100 times better than ALL sponge rollers. No satin to fall off, no falling apart, no pulling hair out or getting tangled in the sponge! There is a sponge cover over a hard plastic body. The soft sponge reduces the hardness of a hard curler and the plastic body holds the shape of the curler so you get a soft curl when you take them out. I can sleep in them. And, they stay in place and are secure but comfortable. I use them on dry hair. My hair is about 1" below my shoulders and I am 67 years young! However, they are suitable for all ages. I am purchasing my second set.

Works good if someone can help you. I'm older and I have trouble holding up my arms to get a good roll. Mom can roll daughters hair real easy.

i think my hair may be too long and thick for them. left my hair a bit kinked by the bar. i bought big hot rollers that work much better for my needs.

Thought the sponge would be all the way through, but the plastic roller inside these curlers kept my hair from drying completely overnight. My hair is relatively thin and fine. Would not recommend unless you always roll after your hair is dry.

Ouch ! I thought they would at least be soft enough to sleep on, but they aren't. Yet still a bit too spongy to dry easily. A strange hybrid that doesn't work for me.. I have extremely curly hair that takes well to rollers..
