I have been buying this product from my local beauty supply whiic is at the corner of my block. I am african american as well and this product works wonders in my hair. I have to purchase the shampoo from amazon. They don't sell it in the store because the owner claims alot of people are unfamiliar with the product and it sits on the shelf too long, so they don't order it. I can do with or without the shampoo, but This deep conditioner is the best I have used on my hair thus far. I Love it! I apply mine just like I would apply a perm by parting my hair into fours and apply. Let is sit at leat 10min and rinse with cool water. The hair comes out perfect every time.

This conditioner is amazing! I used it last night and was soo pleased I decided to review it today. I'm african american and have some what fine, coarse shoulder lenght hair. My hair is resistant to most products. I've used alter ego garlic. silicon mix and rysell conditioners and none worked for me. But this stuff is awesome! I did take off 1 star because of the appearance (oily orange brown color). This stuff will discolor your shower curtin so be careful, but soo worth it. I will buy more and would recommend to all.

I have thick course African American hair and I bought this product on the recommendation of a friend...not because my hair was particularly damaged but because I wanted to maintain its current "healthy" state...so I wasn't looking for a "miracle". To my surprise, this product was nothing short of just that--"a miracle". It made my already healthy hair--healthier. The product's consistency is substanial--no to loose and liquidy and not to thick and difficult to manipulate--rinses easy...doesn't require any additional rinsing time like you might imagine based on the mud-like color. The way it smells is also a plus--soft and understated...the best way to describe the scent is pleasant. As for the effect it has had on my hair--wonderful and lasting. I haven't seen any breakage or shedding and my hair has maintained body and shine between my weekly salon visit.

Toque Magico Emergencia Deep Intensive Hair Treatment is ok. I have semi-thick african american hair and it's a great thickener but it makes my hair shed. So I mix it with Kanechom Karite Butter for a deep condition.
