i ordered because of the shape. And the ad specifically stated it was a plug in. THe ad is correct. No problems with the ad or the seller. The problem is the manufacturer has made this thing a nightmare to install. You have to snap the compartments apart and back together with such force you are afraid you are going to break it.

I got this as a gift and I can honestly say I will never use another straightener again. It is amazing. NEVER pulls my hair (every other one I've tried did), and it makes my hair beautifully silky and shiny just as box said it would. it heats up very quickly, and it very easy to use. My mother loves hers so much she has 2 in case one ever quits working. I highly recommend it. I use this all the time. I have naturally wavy hair, and I have used several hair straighteners over the past few years, and I bought this one almost a year ago, and use it 2-3 times per week, and the results are amazing. It heats up to 450 degrees in just minutes, I have long hair and can straighten it all in about 15 minutes. It leaves my hair smooth and silky, I get tons of compliments. I've never had issues with it. My sister-in-law and my husband's step mother are hair stylists and both have said how impressed they are with the results. PRODUCT: This product does an incredible job. My bathroom is pretty well stocked with an arsenal of good products (Aveda, MoroccainOil, Kerastase, Pureology, J Beverly Hills, etc.), and my hair (wavy, long, fine but voluminous, and highlighted) vastly prefers Brocato products to these other brands in almost every category. (For those of you who use the above-named competitors and such, you know this is no small feat.) Obviously I hold Brocato products in very high regard, then. This product is no different, and is a personal favorite. I run a few drops through my wet/damp hair (combined with a blip of CurlKarma) and comb/scrunch, then air dry. It helps to make hair shiny, soft, smoother...and quite effectively, I might add. (It does not take long at all to see positive results from this product.) It also smells *incredible*, in my opinion. Please know that this smell is TO DIE FOR, but in something of a unisex type of way. If you want something with a floral scent or what have you, keep on looking. I happen to love the way it smells (yummy!), and consider it a huge plus!

I bought this because it was on sale and my other blow dryer died. It came with two attachments, don't try taking them off when the blow dryer is hot though, since it won't. (LOL) It's smaller in size which I like, it's a little heavier but not too much to where you notice. I do notice that it tends to tangle my hair more than my other one did. You know that it isn't going to be like the full size counterparts, seeing as it is travel sized AND so much cheaper, so my expectations for it were right in sync. The flat iron takes a bit longer to heat up, and a little of getting used to if your used to a full size CHI, but it works wonderfully! Sometimes I do the rotate thing to make it curl, and I think it looks better on this one than the full sized one. The hair dryer packs a mean punch for something so small, and it dries my hair in the same amount of time as a full size, but its not as hot so I actually like it better. The sizes are great for travel or gym locker-room use, and I highly recommend them. And they also come with the travel pack and CHI products! Definitely a steal. I can fit my shampoo, conditioner and styling products and comb in the pockets for the gym (but I put my shampoo and conditioner in travel bottles to save room), so it's the perfect travel accessory. I purchased this one THROUGH amazon, not a store on amazon, and I ordered it on a Friday and received it Monday MORNING even though they said 2-3 business days. I was very impressed with both the product and Amazon.

I bought this set for a trip to Europe and was SO excited to find the CHI travel kit at such a good price. I tried it out in the comfort of my 110v home before I left. The straightener did not get very hot, but I figured it was because it was compact. The hair dryer seemed to be okay with the output you would expect for a travel dryer. I was more concerned with having a reasonable hair dryer while traveling in Europe. I really liked the dual voltage offered by the hair dryer. I was relieved to have it--until I got there. I used an adapter and set the dryer to the appropriate voltage, and when I turned it on....NOTHING...it didn't work at all. I tried using it on the lower voltage and with the voltage down converter I had. It barely worked; it couldn't blow out a candle on a birthday cake. I was astonished that the cheap Revlon curling iron I brought worked perfectly with the down converter, but neither of the two CHI travel doo dads functioned at all. Sadly, the best (and most valuable) part of this entire kit was all the small products that came with it: the travel size shampoo, conditioner, silk infusion, and spray made my hair manageable. I purchased this, and was planning on using it on vacation, but I can't help myself. It is SO easy to figure out, and looks really good! I'm constantly having people compliment me on my hair, and I really like how it looks! It adds all the volume and length without actually growing your hair.
Here are some things I didn't like about it:
1. The hair arrived with one of the clips (the top middle one/most important one) broken. Fortunately, I was able to fix this, by attaching another clip on it, and securing it in place with a bobby pin.
2. The hair tangles easily, and during my lunch break, I like to go home, and comb it out.
3. Some of the hair keeps going throug the piece, have yet to find a solution to this issue.
4. You are supposed to wash this after 5 uses, but I found that only in the directions when the piece arrived. It would have been nice to know that when you got it, as well as the fact that you should probably order a special leave-in-conditioner for synthetic hair. I had no idea, but now I do, so I ordered mine already.
5. I don't know if I just have a small head, or what, but one of the issues I am having is that the piece seems a bit too big for my head. If I wear it too tight, it goes past my hairline, looking awkward. So I opted to wear it just a tad bit looser, and use the hair on top to cover the "line."
Now, with all of that being said, this really is a great extension. I know that all that I wrote up there probably makes it look bad, but it really is great. I have never worn extensions before, and didn't really know what to expect. These are great to wear for a night out, just to spice things up, or to see if a particular hairstyle will look good on you. Whatever you do, do NOT, under any cirumstances straighten, use a curling iron, or any other heat on this piece. I accidentally did this morning, and it just simply burned off. No worries, though-at least it doensn't have that burned hair smell.
I have already ordered another one, as well as the leave in conditioner for synthetic hair. The color magically matched my hair PERFECTLY! I couldn't have asked for a better match! This was on top of the fact that I just took a random guess at my color, and got it as close as I could via the internet. My boss said that as soon as he saw it, he was looking for a line, but couldn't find one. I have had many compliments, and it seems like I'm turning heads quite a bit now that I have them in. Highly recommend, just try to get a close match to your hair!!

VERY natural looking. People who haven't seen me for awhile, think I really have grown my hair that long. The only problem is that the cap and securing is more like a whole head {has the curvature of a full wig, not the lower section}. So unless you place them very high you can get a bulbous area toward the nape of the neck.Colors are natural, but unless you have highlights they would likely not blend with natural hair.

I thought this was going to work like a cheap one I usually get from walmart, you cannot get wet hair. Not so, if you stand under your shower and this cap gets saturated it soaks through. Also, I had no idea there were sizes for shower caps and apparently this came in small. I found that out from another site selling these same caps only they offered the option of what size you need. I'm not sure why I didn't have a choice of size or why it wasn't written that it was a small but it barely covered my daughters hair because she has so much of it.
