Purchased this on June 4th of 2012 and installed it sometime the following week. Went to get some clothes from the dryer today and they were still damp and cold (dryer was running when I opened it). The price is much nicer than buying a new dryer but it's not worth the hassle of replacing it again just for another year or two (apparently others are getting closer to 2 years from there's).

This product installed easily enough and was a suitable replacement. However it only lasted about 22 months. The original had lasted for over 15 years.

This worked fine, but after about 22 months it burned out. The original(or the one I replaced) had worked for maybe decades. I was old. This new element most have been made out of inferior metal. There is a slim chance that something else caused it to burn out soon, but I can't think what that would be.
