This is made completely of plastic. From the pictures, there appeared to be metal. The description of the product does not provide the material. The product box also does not reveal the type of plastic. Amazon needs to provide additional detail on this product. If you are okay with plastic to hold a hot hair dryer, this might be okay. I do not feel safe using it to hold a hot hair dryer that has been in use. It's headed back.

Stylish, fits the hand well, works great. But picture showed the accents as pearl, but they're really pink! Flat black and soft touch. Hair dryer holder works great but suction cups need recharging every week, not so good.
