I found this product to be as advertised and then some. While it does not leave a sticky residue it does seem to add quite a bit of volume to thinning hair when dried with a warm hair dryer. It fills the bill for me.

Has alcohol in it which stung my scalp and dried my hair. Did not make my hair thicker, maybe just a little. It was sticky too. I guess it's o.k. if you just want a bottle of hair-spray. I was afraid it would make my hair fall out more, so I dumped it out down the sink after trying it for 3 days. I will use the spray bottle for something else. It is a good spray bottle. So, I give 5 stars for the spray-bottle.

Thick R does make your hair thicker. And if you have some waves, it makes it a little curlier. I've been using it for years and have recommended it to friends.

It has a thickening effect...

however it also makes my hair feel like straw and considering my hair is straight as a board, it still manages to make it frizzy. That said, it could just be an incompatibility with my hair as it is baby fine. I've since found my perfect product.
